It’s December so you know what that means! ‘Tis the season for gift giving! I have always been a fan of small shops, shops that give back, the unique and the handmade. Many of these are women owned businesses as well, which I can certainly get behind.
The Pearl Project – Kristy, my best friend since the 5th grade, is an inspiration who started this non-profit benefiting lung cancer research after the disease took her Mother Sue’s life. She designs, makes and/or sources beautiful and unique pearl jewelry and ALL proceeds are donated to furthering lung cancer research.
Everyone knows I love ANYTHING that allows me to match my daughter and anything that is rose gold. So it should be no surprise that the below are my two favorite pieces on the site right now.
She is also offering 20% off of all purchases through 12/16 with code HAPPYDECEMBER.

The Young and Brave Foundation – I grew up across the street from Nathaniel, one of the co-founders of this great non-profit. If any of you are familiar with the surfing world then you have heard of him and his entire family. They are just really wonderful people who are supporting a good cause. The sole purpose of their foundation is to serve as a resource for people who are young (children to adults in their 30s), brave and battling Cancer.
They have a great shop with tees, hats and accessories for all ages. They happen to be running a promo through 12/25 offering 25% off with code YBGIVE18. Below are a few of my favorite items in their shop right now. I especially love that camo hat!

Cuddle and Kind: For every doll purchased, this company (started by a sweet family of 5) donates 10 meals to children in need. The artisans employed to make the dolls are in Peru, so this company is also employing people who perhaps wouldn’t otherwise have a decent paying job. These are truly the softest and some of the cutest dolls I have ever seen.
We had two very generous friends give Paige the smaller versions of the dolls below. She (and I) love them!

Little Poppy Bows – I love that a bow can make a little girl’s outfit so much cuter. It also helps your baby look like a girl when often babies are so androgynous looking when they’re little. Little Poppy Co. is a bow subscription company and they send 3 bows a month in either headband or clip form. It runs about $15 a month. There are different styles and of course lots of patterns and colors. I am loving the Christmas set sent this year.

Jessica Matrasko Jewelry – I have always been a fan of natural stones and crystals and this jewelry line has got tons of that. If there is something with Moonstone, Labradorite or druzy on it, it’s pretty likely that I am going to buy it! I’ve purchased at least half a dozen pieces from Jessica over the years and been happy with every piece. She makes everything herself and she has a lovely husband (who I went to USC with) and a beautiful daughter.
My favorite pieces right now are pictured below. She is doing a 12 days of Christmas daily deal so check in on insta to see what is being offered over the next few weeks.

Fiber Friends – Hands down, my favorite thing in my daughter’s nursery is her mobile. I will admit that this is an investment piece and most people may think I am insane for buying this, but I do. not. care! As you know, my dogs are also my children and I wanted them to be a part of her room. By sending tons of pictures to Miranda, the artist at Fiber Friends, she captured my fur babies perfectly with felted yarn!! If you aren’t into mobiles she does other pieces as well.
***Check her out on insta @fiberfriends, on Etsy, or shop on her own website at http://www.fiberfriendsonline.com. If you go through her personal website it will be cheaper than ordering on Etsy***
Sweetees – For my fellow cheeky mamas who like to dress up the SAHM momiform… you know our daily uniform of yoga pants, tees, top knots and sweatshirts… then you’ll get a kick out of this shop.
My favorite pieces right now are pictured below. They are running a 25% off sale right now with promo code HOLLY.

Stitches by Natalie – Ever wanted to make a keepsake out of your baby’s receiving blanket, an item of clothing, something else you have laying around? Well, Natalie does that. I mailed her Paige’s hospital blankets and she made the cutest little teddy bear out of it. She has other animals that she makes as well. I will be sending her an item of my grandma’s clothing to make something for Paige to remember her by as well.
The below bear is the same one I bought for Paige and it’s just darling.

MiliMili Wearable Baby Blankets: I just ordered one for Paige and it should be arriving any day now. They are made of super soft Bamboo, have a program in place to recycle and reuse their remnants to make other products, are made in Los Angeles (not in Asia somewhere) and 1/2 the company is run by one of my sorority sisters. These gals are funny and have a great sense of style that features bold colors and patterns. Can’t wait to see where this new company goes.
There is only one pattern right now as they just launched a few weeks ago. The more they sell, the more options they can produce. You can use promo code APHIBETAPI for $5 off.
